Yesterday, Harahan was honored to be invited to participate in the traditional "Tapping of the Keg", which kicks off New Orleans Oktoberfest! If you haven't been, it's an amazing, fun, family friendly event - that lasts over three straight weekends at the Deutsches Haus on Bayou St. John.
Today, Harahan's relationship with the German government and people is as strong as ever (more proof that Small Towns CAN Do Big Things). The German Consul General for the Gulf Region calls Harahan home; their Embassy in DC provided amazing support for our Wreath-laying Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in March; the German Marshall Fund and German corporations like Volkswagen, BMW, ThyssenKrupp USA, Lufthansa, BASF, Bayer and more will be a major part of our revitalization of Zeringue Park - including securing a section of the old Berlin Wall (breaking ground in 2023).

Thanks Billy!!!
